Founded around 1900, the hotel at the BLM mountain station in the tranquil mountain village of Mürren was converted into the ‘Eiger Guesthouse’ in 1999 and finally completely refurbished in 2022 with a new building constructed on the original site. We were also involved in this.

This traditional establishment in the car-free mountain paradise of Mürren has had an eventful history: from a hotel with a patisserie, through a series of redesigns and a merger with the neighbouring hotel, to a modern guesthouse. In the 1980s, it gained an integrated pub modelled on the English style, and around the turn of the millennium it underwent extensive renovations and modernisations. But of course, time does not stand still, and so the next step was taken in 2022: a complete rebuild of the guesthouse on the hotel’s original footprint.

Cosy, modern and uncomplicated

A total of 21 ultra-modern rooms offer plenty of space for guests – whether travelling alone or with families. There are double and family rooms with cosy bunk beds and playful wall designs. A lift complements the existing rooms, and the pub and restaurant area ensure the well-being and satisfaction of guests. In a place where car traffic is not common, the new construction and extension naturally posed a logistical challenge, but the result of our installation project is impressive.
